Mycotoxins are what certain moulds leave behind. They outlast the mould itself, which is why killing the fungus does not settle the question.
We test four types of aflatoxin and ochratoxin by liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry, with results down to parts per trillion. The panel is triggered when a sample fails for any species of Aspergillus fungi.
After a failure
A mycotoxin result is the difference between a remediable batch and one that is finished. Run it before deciding what to do with the material.
